The City of Calgary, Cultural Transformation Project

The Cultural Transformation Project is a city and corporate-wide, collaboration, and alignment-setting dialogue project. It is about discovering the attitudes, habits and behaviours that place citizens at the centre of our thinking, planning and doing. As a civic employee our jobs are all about putting the citizen at the centre of everything we do. No matter what the function or business, everyone has a daily opportunity to make the lives of citizens better. We can look at our successes as the citizens’ successes.

The Cultural Transformation Project is gathering information about The City’s culture and what all 15,000 stakeholders say works the best and should be built into all aspects of the organization. We are identifying and living a government for the future that builds on the foundation of excellence. This is an amazing legacy to pass on for the next 100 years.
